How do I build a roster?
OpShifts drafts it for you from your staffing numbers and your team's availability. Open Suggestions or the Roster page, review the draft, adjust anyone you want to change and publish. You can also add shifts by hand with Manual Shift.
How do I change a shift?
Click the shift on the Roster. You can change the person or time, or remove it. Removing asks you to confirm so it can't happen by accident.
Can I copy last week's roster?
Yes. Copy last week brings last week's shifts into the week you're looking at. It's available when you're viewing a week or a month.
How do I find one person or one kind of shift?
Use the search box, or the Filter button to narrow by shift, status, department or role. What's switched on shows as small chips beside the button, and you can tap a chip to remove it.
Will my staff be told when I change the roster?
Only if roster notices are on in Settings, under WhatsApp Notices. When they are, people are told about their own changes a short while after you stop editing, so ten quick edits become one message. If you'd rather tell people yourself, leave notices off and use the Tell them bar on the Roster.
What does 'double' mean on a shift?
The same person is rostered on two shifts that day. It's a flag so you notice, not an error.
How do I mark a day closed or note something about a day?
Use Close this day on the day's card to mark the venue closed so it isn't staffed. You can also add a short note to a day, for example 'wedding Wednesday'.
What are Events for?
Busy occasions that need extra people. Give the event a time and a guest count and any shift it overlaps gets extra headcount for that date only. Add events early so the draft can use them.
Can I print the roster?
Yes. Use Print on the Roster page for a clean paper copy.
